Abstract

The article discusses coaching as an innovative educational practice and
technology in the process of developing research competence in future farmers. A thorough analysis of scientific literature has been carried out to determine the essence of the concept of "coaching", which scientists consider as an art, a style of government, a means of supporting personality development, educational technology, the technology of scientific and methodological support, and the like. The basic principles on which the
coaching technology is based are given. The efficiency of coaching used in the process of training future farmers is substantiated. The educational potential of coaching as a promising educational technology in the process of training higher education is determined.
