The article presents the experience of the competence approach in studying the educational component «Medical and Pharmaceutical Merchandising» by students of higher education, specialty 223 "Medical Science", bachelor's degree of the Zhytomyr Medical Institute of the Zhytomyr Regional Council through distance learning.
The need for a competency-based approach in the teaching of medical and
pharmaceutical product science in the practice of training undergraduate nurses, who most closely know and come into contact with the range of medical and pharmaceutical products, requires a deeper study of educational competence and the acquisition of basic professional
competences. The study of the discipline on the basis of a competency-based approach is aimed at preparing future bachelor nurses to perform merchandising functions in modern conditions related to the provision of pharmaceuticals and medical and preventive institutions with drugs
and medical products using the legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine. Also, the article highlights the relevance of studying the educational competence «Medical and pharmaceutical commodity science» by bachelors, its importance for the formation of professional competence of future specialists. Given that the modern medical market requires in-depth knowledge and practical skills from bachelor nurses, the mandatory
use of more progressive teaching methods and interactive teaching in the educational process is necessary. The use of interactive methods optimizes the educational process and requires special attention.
The article also discusses the issues of distance learning organization, the advantages of using modern mobile technologies in order to stimulate students to self-education, encourage independent mastery of knowledge, and promote professional determination.
