The article carries out a theoretical analysis of the problem of formation of professional competence of future teachers in the process of professional training in a higher education institution. Attention is focused on methodological aspects of the problem. Interrelated scientific approaches are singled out, in particular: system, competence, person-oriented, activity, polysubject, axiological, acmeological, cultural, ethnopedagogical. In the process of scientific-pedagogical research, such methods as the analysis of scientific-pedagogical literature, generalization of the obtained information, systematization, inferences were used.
