Abstract

The article reveals the views of modern psychological and pedagogical research on the requirements for professional activity and personality of the preschool teacher at the present stage of society development. The characteristic features of children of the XXI century, who were born in the Internet era, are identified: high emotional sensitivity, mental activity, nervous system imbalance, poor health, inability to concentrate, etc. The author analyzes the qualities of the educator that are necessary for the development, upbringing and education of children of the new generation: high professionalism and creativity, initiative, desire to improve, readiness
for change, etc. The requirements for the personality of a modern educator, the need to form professional competence and skills in the process of studying at a higher education institution are outlined. Attention is focused on the components that should be the basis of the pedagogical
activity of a modern preschool teacher.
