Abstract

The author of the article has presented a theoretical analysis of the problem of formation of professional and value orientations of future educators of preschool educational institutions in the process of professional training. The author also has defined the concepts of «value»,
«pedagogical values» and «professional and value orientations». The author understands the pedagogical values of preschool educators as a system of values, ideas, relations related to the profession, which is realized and shared by the educator, determines the general direction of
professional activity, as well as the choice of ways and means of mastering the knowledge and skills necessary for the optimal performance of professional functions. It has been noted that the formation of professional and value orientations occurs as a result of the interaction between two substances of a single space – personality and profession, which determine the mutual development. Their indivisible unity and coherence not only prevents the dichotomy between the requirements of the profession and personal needs, but also determines the formation of the professional axiosphere of a specialist. The author has presented the most relevant interpretations of the term «professional and value orientations», methodological approaches to the organization of work on their formation and relevant pedagogical conditions. Attention has been focused on the potential of the axiological approach in the professional training of future educators of preschool educational institutions. On this basis, the author’s own definition of the phenomenon of professional and value orientations of future educators of preschool educational institutions has been offered.
